Winter Newsletter: Note from Mike Simmons

As I reflect on the accomplishments of our team over the last year, I’m proud that we were able to end the year on a strong note. Our credentialing efforts have far exceeded industry standards, with faster turnaround times and more reliable results. We successfully recruited tens of thousands of providers into our network, improving both efficiency and the provider experience for our customers. In the last six months, the a* provider data search engine responded to an average of 28M monthly queries, helping to quickly and accurately solve hundreds of thousands of credentialing verification requests and provider network adequacy calculations.

Our credentialing efforts have far exceeded industry standards, with faster turnaround times and more reliable results.

In order to ensure members have access to quality care, building a network to CMS’ network adequacy minimums is necessary but not sufficient. In order to truly provide the care that members need and deserve, health plans must exceed the standards of compliance. That’s why we’ve designed our software to provide greater insight. To learn more about the challenges and opportunities of getting beyond government network adequacy minimums, check out our latest white paper: ‘More Than Adequate: Paving The Road To Health Equity With Next-Gen Provider Networks’. We hope that it will further deepen your understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of historical CMS network adequacy standards and how we can use new geo-spacial mapping models to help address health inequity.

We are excited to head to San Antonio this month to attend the American Telemedicine Conference (ATA). Telehealth clients now have more choice and control over how they get their credentials done than ever before. When choosing a partner, it is important to pick one who understands the complexities of credentialing, delegation and audits so that you can focus on what matters most – growing and scaling your business.

As we look ahead to 2023 it’s clear that there’s still uncertainty in the macro economic, and geo political environment. It makes the work we do of helping people get the physical and behavioral healthcare they need, all the more meaningful and important. We continue to be fully committed as individuals and as a company to the success of our customers and will remain agile as the market shifts to continue to provide best in class services for our customers.

Equipped with the experience and knowledge gained from the past year, I’m filled with gratitude for the success we have achieved and eager to see what lies ahead of us in the coming year. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of our journey.
